Kate was lucky to be introduced to the Intuitive Eating philosophy and authors while still in her internship. She received training and supervision from Elyse Resch and Evelyn Tribole, both authors of Intuitive Eating. Kate has developed and led Intuitive Eating groups for people from all backgrounds and is a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor.

Her expertise in Sports Nutrition was honed while working at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista and also supporting the San Diego Firefighters.

Throughout her career, Kate has always maintained a private practice because she loves to work one on one with people who are ready to make a change. She has always been amazed at the resiliency of the human body and human mind.

As a Chicago native, Kate’s first love is travel and the adventures and food that come along with it. Kate’s second love is to play outside with friends and family (and dogs/horses). She grew up as an athlete playing softball, volleyball horseback riding, and swimming which she has now channeled into sprint triathlons.

Kate believes a healthy relationship with food and your body is essential to enjoying life. And she believes it is possible for everyone.

As a mother of 2 daughters and aunt to 10 nieces, she is determined to help create a more kind world for everyone to grow up in.
